Fresh off a terrific day at Dundalk on Wednesday Stephen Thorne is hoping for more success at the all-weather venue on Friday night.
Thorne had been hitting the crossbar since taking out his training licence a few weeks ago but made the breakthrough in style with a double courtesy of Sayifyouwill and Shoot To Kill.
The veteran Dream Today is his only runner tomorrow night and he feels there is still plenty left in the nine-year-old:-
"He's an older horse, not getting any younger.
"The last night they seemed to go a bit hard up front.
"He's got a nice draw there on Friday (in stall one).
"He's down in grade and I still think there is plenty of life left in him, he's still moving very well.
"He operates pretty well around here.
"Wesley (Joyce) was an obvious choice, he has been riding plenty of work for us."
Tom McCourt saddles Hero Of The Hour in the same six furlong handicap and is hoping for a good show despite a wide draw.
"He won over five here the last day (on penultimate start).
"He's in good form and he goes six now. It's competitive enough and he is drawn 17 which is not going to be much of a help to him on the six.
"He's well, but he is up nicely in the weights at the same time."
