The Sliding Rock made a winning jumps debut in the Extra Places On The BoyleSports App Mares Maiden Hurdle (DIV I) at Wexford.
Bryan Cooper did the steering on the successful daughter of Shantou, and he donned the familiar Caren Walsh silks on the five-year-old.
Mrs Walsh heads an ownership group that includes three others, and their pretty easy to back youngster was never far away before getting the better of Where’s Bunny by three and a quarter lengths.
“She done it well. She had a look at the second last but bar from that she was very good. To be fair she probably had better form that a lot of these,” said Cooper.
“Gordon Elliott (winning trainer) in the summer time, you couldn’t ask for much more.”
C.P. McNamara, rider of Twin Bridges trained by Liam Lennon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled up.
