Former leading juvenile Tenebrism is set to make a quick reappearance in the Listed Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Woodlands Stakes at Naas on Monday evening.
A winner over course and distance on her racecourse debut in March 2021, the daughter of Caravaggio wasn't seen again until making a successful step into Group 1 company in the Cheveley Park Stakes later that September.
Connections understandably went down the Classic route with the filly last season but after failing to stay a mile, she ended her campaign with a creditable fifth in the Champions Sprint Stakes.
Following an impressive reappearance at Cork last month, Tenebrism continues her learning curve as a sprinter.
Speaking to RacingTV at Navan on Saturday, trainer Aidan O'Brien said: “We’re very happy with her and we just decided to let her run rather than be over working her at home. She takes very little work and has gone into a real little professional sprinter.
“We thought we would do this and then we might give her one more run between that and Ascot. She loves sprinting and finds it very easy.
“She seems to be in very good form since the last day and that’s why we declared her. She doesn’t seem to mind soft ground so we are looking forward to seeing her run again.”
