Made In Taipan (11/4 in the morning into 7/4) and Majestic Concorde (early offer of 7/2 into 9/4) dominated the market for the Flyingbolt Novice Chase and the first fence unseat of Barry Geraghty from the latter helped supporters of the favourite to breath a little easier.
As it happened, Made In Taipan made all under Davy Russell, and the course winner went on from two out to prevail by five lengths over Hotel Hilamar
Winning trainer, Tom Mullins said: "The two fallers (Majestic Concorde and Cuan Na Grai took away from the race but at the time I wasn't complaining. He was a little bit sluggish although he did jump very well. If he comes out of this well he'll go for the Arkle but I'd like to see a little bit of cut in the ground. At least that puts him back in the picture."
Paddy Power left the seven-year-old Taipan gelding at 20/1 for the Arkle Chase whilst Cashmans cut him to 16/1 from 20/1 for the same event. (EM)
