Bindaree is ready to take on Monsignor in the SpotOn Novices' Hurdle at Uttoxeter on Saturday.
Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge is to use the Grade Two contest as his final race before a crack at the Royal & SunAlliance Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham next month.
"He's very well and it looks like he's going to Uttoxeter," the trainer said today.
"It will be quite a tough test but Monsignor hasn't beaten anything better than our horse has.
"He's achieved more than Monsignor has, apart from the bumper. The hurdl races he has had have been harder to win than Monsignor's so I'd be hopeful."
Bindaree has won his last four races, culminating in a seven-length defeat of subsequent River Don Novices' Hurdle winner Barney Knows in the Grade One Challow Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Eve.
