Jim Turner takes a gamble on the weather tomorrow when he enters his smart chaser Inn At The Top for the Martell Gold Cup at Aintree next Thursday.
Inn At The Top ran well to finish third to Dark Stranger in the Mildmay of Flete at the Cheltenham Festival last time and has come out of the race in good form.
The trainer reasoned: "He was hampered at a vital stage but ran on well once he got out, though the winner had flown by then.
"Robbie (Supple) has always felt the horse would get three miles and from the way he stayed on up the hill at Cheltenham suggests that the trip will suit him so we are keen to have a go at the Martell.
"We don't want any rain over at Aintree, he would not go if it was soft and the only trouble is that the entry fee is big but we just have to take the chance and put him in."
