TROUBLE SET FOR LEOPARDSTOWN

Trainer Noel Chance favours a crack at the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown next month for his Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup contender Looks Like Trouble.

Chance has decided not to run the gelding, a disappointment when unplaced in the Pertemps King George VI Chase at Kempton last time, in the John Bull Chase at Wincanton tomorrow.

Chance said today: "I have taken him out of the race at Wincanton because of the state of the ground.

"It's much too soft for Looks Like Trouble and the forecast is not good.

"I favour a tilt at the race because Leopardstown is a track which dries out quickly and it should suit us.

"There is also the Aon Chase at Newbury and this is an option. However I am not too keen to meet See More Business at this stage of the season."

There are just four declared runners in the John Bull Chase at Wincanton where last season's Cheltenham Gold Cup fourth Double Thriller is likely to be the odds-on favourite.
