Noel Chance has warned that Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Looks Like Trouble is far from certain to line up in the John Bull Chase at Wincanton on Thursday.
Chance fears the going at Wincanton will be too soft for his Royal & SunAlliance Chase winner, who was pulled up in the King George VI Chase at Kempton last time out.
"The ground has got to be good. It is officially soft at the moment and if it stayed like that he wouldn't run - nor if it is good to soft," the trainer said.
"Looks Like Trouble is in fine shape and the alternatives are the Irish Hennessy or the new race at Newbury."
