TRM Ireland (Thoroughbred Remedies Manufacturing), a leading supplier of equine supplements, is set to sponsor the last race of six they have supported throughout the Flat season at Naas Racecourse on Sunday 13th October.
In a unique twist, the winning apprentice rider of the TRM - From Ireland to The World Apprentice Handicap, provided they do not have an existing sponsorship, will receive an exclusive one-year sponsorship deal with TRM. The sponsorship will include fully branded riding gear, such as breeches and other clothing, ensuring the rider is well-equipped and professionally represented throughout the year.
This initiative highlights TRM’s ongoing commitment to nurturing and supporting riders across all equine sports.
Orla Queally, TRM Marketing Executive, commented: "TRM are delighted to give this wonderful opportunity to sponsor an up-and-coming apprentice for 2025. Supporting the next generation is very important to TRM."
Alongside this new apprentice rider initiative, TRM has again this year supported trainers and their staff throughout the Flat season at Naas with the trainer and BTO (Best-Turned-Out) League.
Currently, trainer Ger Lyons is leading the standings with 143 points in the trainers' league, closely followed by Aidan O’Brien on 120 points coming into the final two-day festival at the track on October 12th and 13th. The winning trainer will receive E3,000 worth of TRM supplements.
Adding to the excitement is the Best-Turned-Out League, led by Michael O’Callaghan’s yard with 80 points, aiming for a second consecutive win. Gavin Cromwell’s and Noel Meade’s yards are tied at 70 points, competing to win a E1,000 TRI Equestrian Store voucher and a celebratory breakfast delivered to the winning yard.
Aidan McGarry, Naas General Manager, commented: "We are thrilled to have TRM Ireland supporting the final weekend of our flat season again this year, now with the addition of such a unique initiative. As a racecourse that prides itself on being the 'Nursery of Champions', this new sponsorship opportunity TRM is providing for apprentice riders is a perfect fit. It’s a wonderful way to recognise and encourage the next generation of racing talent."
