TRINITRO SCHOOLING SESSION DELIGHTS BELLAMY

Robert Bellamy declared himself very happy with Trinitro after schooling his Martell Grand National mount at Haydock Park today.

The Norwegian-trained gelding jumped a specially-constructed National-type fence and also cantered at the Merseyside track.

Bellamy said: "The head groundsman at Haydock very kindly built an Aintree-style fence in the middle of the track and he just popped over that twice.

"He was very good and very clever - nothing too flamboyant - and I couldn't be more happy with him.

"I worked him right up the middle of Haydock over six or seven furlongs, gave him a good blow and he was in really good form."

After schooling Bellamy travelled to Aintree to walk the National course.

"I've just walked round the track and it's going to be good ground," Bellamy added.

"It won't be a problem to him but it will help everything else as well."

The Rune Haugen-trained nine-year-old is a 66-1 chance for the National with Ladbrokes.
