Total prize money for this year's Tralee festival meeting has been increased to #406,500.
The racecourse management also announced today they will run a competition to win a car on each of the six days of the meeting which starts next Tuesday.
Racegoers will have to nominate the winners of six races on the programme, and anybody who does so will win a car.
For the first time, there will be an on course Big Screen situated in front of the stands, providing up-to-the-minute betting information and interviews.
Speaking at the launch of this year's programme, Mr. Crean said: 'I am delighted that we have been able to put such a tremendous package together.'
The racecourse will also play host to members of Fegentri, the International Amateur Riders Association with four international riders taking part in Saturday's Finches Sparkling Orange International Ladies Race.
