Torgau, winner of last season's Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket for Giles Bravery, makes her American debut in the US150,000 Honeymoon Handicap at Hollywood Park tomorrow.
Now racing under the Team Valor banner, Torgau, the mount of Chris McCarron, faces eight rivals in the turf Grade Two contest, which is run over nine furlongs.
Trainer, Jenine Sahadi, hoping to repeat her 1999 success in this race with Sweet Ludy, admits she is still feeling her way with the British import.
She said: 'I don't know much about her as she has just got out of quarantine. She has jogged the last two mornings. They obviously think a lot of her and British form is clearly good.'
Also runner-up in the Moyglare Stud and the Cheveley Park Stakes last term, Torgau finished seventh in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on her reappearance earlier this month.
Her most dangerous rivals tomorrow may turn out to be the Grade Two-winning Classy Clara and Kumari Continent.
