York will stage an historic clash after all six five-day acceptors stood their ground for the Aston Upthorpe Yorkshire Oaks today.
Wednesday`s event will see Vodafone Oaks winner Love Divine take on predecessor Ramruma - the first two winners of the Epsom Classic to race each other since Time Charter beat Sun Princess at Ascot in 1983.
Henry Cecil`s stable jockey Richard Quinn rides Love Divine with Michael Kinane on her stable-companion, who won this race last year and is reopposed by the length-and-a-quarter runner-up Ela Athena (Michael Roberts).
Love Divine bids to confirm Oaks superiority over fourth-placed Petrushka (Johnny Murtagh) and the 16th Miletrian (Frankie Dettori), who have lifted the Irish Oaks and Ribblesdale Stakes respectively since Epsom.
The field is completed by Prix de Pomone winner Interlude (Pat Eddery), who is trained like Petrushka by Sir Michael Stoute.
She bids to give The Queen her first victory in the race since the Cecil Boyd-Rochfort-trained Almeria scored under Harry Carr in 1957.
