The all conquering trainer-jockey combination of Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen were on the mark three times at Tipperary's all Flat meeting.
The first leg of the treble was in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) with Misty Heights, a foal from the first crop by Fasliyev. Misty Heights always led and extended her advantage to five lengths at the line with Aidan O'Brien's 4/7 favourite Royal Tigress finishing strongly to collect a never nearer second.
Weld later mentioned 'she should stay well, being from a Shirley Heights mare and will now take her chance in the Moyglare Stakes.'
Weld and Smullen completed their double in the seven furlong colts' and geldings' maiden with Favourite Nation. The 4/7 favourite winner easily defeated Caparo by six lengths leaving an impressed Weld to state 'he did that very professionally. He'll probably now take a step up to Group class and the National Stakes is definately on the agenda.'
Weld also mentioned that his runaway Galway maiden winner Grey Swallow is a likely runner in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket in October.
The concluding 1m4f Claiming Race completed the hat-trick of wins for the Rosewell House handler when Anticipated Move landed a gamble (3/1 - 13/8 favourite) when defeating Hiawatha by three parts of a length.
The featured seven furlong E70,000 Listed Fairy Bridge Stakes was won by the Kevin Prendergast trained Plume Rouge (10/1), who denied Weld and Smullen four wins with the well backed Perfect Touch (9/4 - 5/4 favourite). Plume Rouge is described by James Kelly (representing owner Lady O'Reilly) as being 'very tough' while also mentioning that the filly may contest a Group Three race in Arlington Park next month before embarking on her four year career in America with trainer Christophe Clement.
Blue Crush won the five furlong Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race for trainer Edward Lynam and promising apprentice Billy Lee. The winner had previously been placed but Lynam later stated 'We decided to led her run on in front today and it seems to have worked.' A Nursery Race at the same venue next month is a likely target for Blue Crush.
Joe Crowley's Hanorla landed the Red Cross Tipperary Handicap under Tom Quelly while the Apprentice Maiden was won by trainer Pat Flynn and stable apprentice Sean Cleary with 4/1 joint favourite Marko Jadeo.
