THORNTON AIMING TO BOUNCE BACK

Andrew Thornton hopes to make a quick return to action tomorrow at Fontwell where he has two booked mounts.

The jump jockey was forced to give up his remaining rides after he was shaken in a fall on Twisted Logic at Wincanton on Saturday.

But he said this morning: 'It could have been a lot worse. I am a bit battered and bruised but I am 100% better than yesterday and I will see how I am in the morning.'

Thornton is set to launch his stint as stand-in rider for leading owner Paul Green - in place of the suspended Dean Gallagher - when he rides Indiana at Newcastle on Friday.
