Stanley Leisure are to sponsor the Thirsk Classic Trial at the Yorkshire track on April 15th.
The one-mile contest will be a Listed race this season, with #23,000 added to stakes.
Sam Willock, trading controller for Stanley Leisure, said today: "We sponsor quite a bit in Yorkshire and it seemed a logical race to back.
"It's something we'd like to continue with to add to our high-profile races like the Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup.
"It's been won by some good horses in the past like Starborough and usually throws up some decent horses."
In addition to Starborough, who went on to land the St James's Palace Stakes in 1997, the race has been won by the likes of Sure Blade in 1986 and subsequent 2000 Guineas winner Tap On Wood in 1979.
This year's race has been mentioned as a possible option for Middle Park Stakes victor Primo Valentino and for Summoner, an impressive winner at Doncaster last Saturday.
