Winter favourite Teggiano will miss Sunday's Sagitta 1000 Guineas, Godolphin have announced.
The filly will be aimed instead at the French equivalent - the Dubai Poule d'Essai des Pouliches - at Longchamp seven days later.
A statement on the Godolphin website explained that the change of plan had been made so as to ensure the organisation "has strong representation in both Classics."
Bintalreef will now be the sole runner for Sheikh Mohammed's operation in the 1000 Guineas, a race the outfit won with Cape Verdi in 1998.
Frankie Dettori's mount is 7-2 second favourite for the Newmarket race with William Hill having won her only start to date in France last year and reportedly got the better of Teggiano in a private trial in Dubai in April.
Teggiano had topped betting on the first fillies' Classic after winning her last three races for Clive Brittain in 1999, culminating in victory in the Group One Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile at Ascot.
But she was displaced in the market this spring as news broke of her trial defeat.
