Kenton Street gained an overdue success when claiming the first division of the seven-furlong handicap under Seamus Heffernan.
The long trip from Cashel paid off for trainer Michael Browne, who had an early start to get his charge to the racing.
The Compton Place gelding came with a strong run inside the final furlong to hit the lead and stayed on well to score by a length from the fast-finising Bricks And Porter
"He always runs well and is a honest sort. His only bad run was here last time and there was a good reason for that," said Browne.
"There was a lot of hassle this morning to get here. I was up at 3.30am and left at 4.20am. This was his last chance to win one. I could take him to Wolverhampton now."
