Ante-post favourite Bahrain Storm will run in the www.thetote.com Galway Plate tomorrow after three horses above him in the weights came out at the 24 hour declaration stage this morning.
Original top-weight Captain Cee Bee (also entered in the Guinness Galway Hurdle on Thursday), Lenabane and Prince Erik who runs at Ballybrit this evening, were the trio to be taken out.
The Pat Flynn-trained gelding, successful at Killarney just over a fortnight ago and whose chase mark of 135 is 19lb lower than his current hurdle rating, heads the market at a general 6/1 (just 5/1 with Paddy Power).
Other leading fancies to hold their ground are the Dermot Weld-trained Majestic Concorde, Paul Nicholls' Rebel Du Maquis, Blazing Tempo and Dr Whizz (who just gets in at the bottom of the handicap).
The David Pipe-trained Qulinton carries a 12lb penalty for a recent runaway success in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen, while the British challenge is further boosted by Schindler's Gold and Aigle D'or.
Scotsirish now carries top-weight of 11.7, and all 22 runners are in the handicap proper.
William Hill bet: 6/1 Bahrain Storm, 10/1 Majestic Concorde, Blazing Tempo, 12/1 Rebel Du Maquis, Qulinton, Dr Whizz, 14/1 Dancing Tornado, Wise Old Owl, 16/1 Bar.
