The Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes at Naas tomorrow promises to be an informative heat, with an age range from a three-year-old up to a six-year-old pitted to do battle over seven furlongs.

Special Wan represents trainer Pat Foley, and the Luke McAteer-ridden Belardo filly is also entered in the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot.

“I don’t think they are getting too much rain at Naas and as long as the ground is on the nice side, she will run on Sunday," said Foley.

“She ran on soft ground last year, but she will be a much better filly on nicer ground.

“I’m looking forward to getting her back out. She has strengthened up well and her work is good.

“We are very happy with her and it will be interesting to see how she gets on in a race like that.

“She has an entry in Ascot so we’ll see how she gets on at Naas and decide where we’ll go after that.”
