The Charles Byrnes trained Solwhit (7/2 to 9/4) landed a gamble at Leopardstown when taking the November Handicap by 2 1/2 lengths.
Solwhit was ridden by Paul Townend who put up one pound of overweight, but gave the gelding a fine ride, coming between horses in the straight before going on for a comfortable success.
The winner will go hurdling now according to the trainer.
