The featured Grade Three Flyingbolt Novice Chase at Navan saw a performance befitting the event’s status as Sizing Pottsie made it two from three over fences.
This fellow stylishly landed a Fairyhouse beginners contest ten days back, and the step-up in class proved no problem at all for the Ann & Alan Potts Limited six-year-old.
Robbie Power tracked the leader in second on Jessica Harrington’s charge, and he made headway on the inner to lead approaching three out.
Joined two out, Sizing Pottsie was ridden to lead before the last, staying on well on the run-in for a twelve length win over Cut The Mustard
“It was a good performance. The chase track is very heavy and he handles that ground very well,” said Power.
“It was a brave call from Jessie to come back so quick. I suppose the extra few days helped.
“He's a horse that has always promised an awful lot but disappointed a bit over hurdles. Chasing is his game, he jumps real well.
“I was looking for a bit better ground (in the home straight). In the back straight it's very very heavy and I thought if I went out I'd get a bit better but then I came back in.
“I think better ground around here is gone at this stage of the season!
“He possibly wants two-and-a-half miles on better ground but he handles that testing ground so well that I wouldn't be in a rush to go up in trip yet.”
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined I'm A Game Changer trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
