Seven year old Hinemoa registered a second career success today, both this year, when landing Dundalk's Winter Series Apprentice Handicap for trainer Mark Cahill and jockey Alan Persse.
The Frank McNulty-owned-and-bred daughter of Tamayuz gained a belated first win on January 4 and today scored by half a length from Supreme Law
Cahill commented "she's not over pacey and probably couldn't go with them early, but it suited as it fell apart in front of her. She didn't get there too soon and the one thing she will do is battle.
"We might come back here in two weeks' time and then if the turf ground becomes soft, we'll give her a little break because she wouldn't go on that. We'll bring her back for the turf halfway through the season.
"She'll have one more season and will probably go breeding then.”
He added “we will probably have five or six horses for the Flat season and a couple for the jumps."
