STOREY EYES MARCH RETURN

Brian Storey, who has been sidelined through injury for three months, is on course to return to race riding in mid March.

Storey broke his left thigh in a fall from Stormy Fable at Hexham on November 5th and said today: "I have been to see my consultant Hugh Barber and he is very pleased with the way the injury is healing.

"I am able to put a bit of weight on the leg now and I am down to one crutch - it is going great and I will go back and see Mr Barber at the beginning of March for more x-rays to make sure everything is going all right.

"It has been a very frustrating time and I knew it was going to be a long job but at least I have a good idea of when I will be back and I should think it will be just after Cheltenham."
