Connections of Vodafone Derby and Arc hero Sinndar were honoured at the Derby Awards Lunch at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London today.
Owner the Aga Khan, trainer John Oxx and jockey Johnny Murtagh each received awards voted for by the members of the Horserace Writers & Photographers Association at the Blue Square-supported event.
The Aga Khan received the award for Owner of the Year as well as the award for International Personality of the year.
Oxx received the Trainer of the Year award while Murtagh, who has ridden the winners of 11 Group or Grade One races this season, was given the George Ennor Trophy for outstanding achievement.
Journalist of the Year was awarded to Raceform`s Alan Amies, who retired last Wednesday after more than 35 years in the sport.
Kevin Darley and Tony McCoy received the Flat and Jumps Jockey of the Year awards respectively while Noel Chance was voted Jumps Trainer of the Year.
And there was also an award for Ray Cochrane, who was injuredalong with Frankie Dettori in a fatal air crash in June, and who announced his retirement in October, who received the President`s Trophy.
