Mick Fitzgerald today decided to wait until Saturday before making his return to race-riding.
The jump jockey missed his remaining rides at Bangor on Wednesday after being shaken in a fall from Hooded Hawk in the Red Square Energising Chase.
He had hoped to return at Towcester today but has decided to take an extra couple of days off to recover.
"I'm just pretty stiff all over really and a bit shaken," Fitzgerald said.
"I'm not going to ride today or tomorrow, I'm going to come back on Saturday.
"It might cost me a winner or two but I've just been to see 'Rabbit' Slattery the physio and she's advised me the longer I give it the better it is going to be.
"I want to be 100 per cent. I don't want to go into any race meeting this week not 100 per cent."
