SAKHEE A CHAMPION DOUBT

Sakhee is almost certain to be absent from the Dubai Champion Stakes at Newmarket.

John Dunlop`s charge is losing the battle to be fit for Saturday`s Group One spectacular.

The colt, owned by Sheikh Hamdan Al-Maktoum, has been off the course since finishing fourth in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown in July.

Niggling problems, including a foot abscess, have kept Sakhee on the sidelines.

'It looks like the Champion Stakes is going to come too quick for Sakhee although I haven`t had the chance to confirm this with the Sheikh just yet,' said the owner`s racing manager Angus Gold.

'There`s nothing else for Sakhee this year but hopefully he will be back - he probably will be staying in training.'
