The Stewards interviewed Davy Russell, rider of the winner Kilcrea Castle concerning the use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Davy Russell had used his whip with excessive force and suspended him for one raceday.
