Rummaging's search yields another win! Trainer Michael Halford and his stand-in jockey Conor Hoban completed a double at Dundalk this evening, winning the five runner Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Awards 2013 Handicap with Rummaging. Hoban is deputising for the trainer's suspended stable jockey Shane Foley at present and having made the most of his opportunity, Halford later stated “Conor gave him a super ride and himself and Shane are two great two lads. Shane came up to ride work for me before racing today and was up to congratulate the connections after the win.” He added “Rummaging is a great, reliable horse but it didn't work out for him last week with the pace of the race and he was stuck out wide. “It was ideal for him today as he sat in and got a lead. The night he won here, he was off the bridle turning in and they can't seem to go fast enough for him over six furlongs. “He seems best on this surface and will get a well deserved break now. I'm delighted for the Newells (winning owners) who bred him and have been patient with him.” By Thomas Weekes, quotes from Gary Carson
