Following on from the successful gamble of Kimberlite King in the previous race punters scored again with another gamble this time from Philip Rothwell stable when Smack That 11/2 - 7/2) won The Christmas Greetings Handicap Hurdle under Shane Jackson.
Rothwell said afterwards, "He deserved to win here today, he's been a rock of consistency and has been placed on a number of occasions and he probably would have been placed in Cork the last day only he unseated Tom [Ryan] at the last. We came back with him a bit quick but it looked a tender enough handicap. He's in again over Christmas."
