The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle produced a terrific finish with Ring Street Roller proving best on the run-in. Lascalahall looked set for victory when moving through smoothly to lead before the last but was soon challenged by Slippers Percy and the eventual winner.
It was the James Lambe-trained mare who found most in the closing stage, under Eddie O'Connell, to score by three-parts-of-a-length.
"Her best form is on better ground but she has a big heart and that's what got her there," said Lambe.
"She has a lot better form over fences than hurdles and she'll go back over fences when the ground tightens up a bit.
"We'll try and get a bit of black-type with her either here or over the water."
