12/1 shot Roderic O'Connor upstaged his hotly fancied stablemate Master Of Hounds (evens) when landing The Barronstown Stud EBF Maiden at The Curragh.
The winner had finished five lengths behind his stablemate on his debut at Leopardstown, but made all this time for a very easy victory.
Aidan O'Brien, who trains both, said: "Roderic O'Connor had a lovely run the first day and is obviously a very smart horse. He was given an easy time in front, he jumped off and no one followed him."
