Rhythm King (5/1) was a decisive winner of INPBA On Track Bookmakers Handicap.

Having tracked the leaders, Gavin Ryan sent the gelded son of Elzaam to the front entering the final quarter-mile and he had the race in safe keeping at the furlong marker. He kept on well to beat Secret Sauce by three and a half lengths with Knockmore Prince a further three lengths back in third.

“He's a grand horse, once the ground is soft. He really needs soft ground,” said winning trainer Mark Fahey.

“He won well in Gowran in soft and was unlucky in Galway. He won very well here today and he's something to look forward to.

“He was a little bit unlucky behind Duke Of Leggagh (in Galway) who has been second in a good handicap and won since.

“We were hopeful for today. We might have a look at a nicer race, he grinds it out and puts his head to the floor and tries.”
