Raydari springs 22/1 shock The Roger Sweeney-trained Raydari sprang a 22/1 (€52.40 on Tote) shock when taking the first division of the mile-and-a-half handicap at Dundalk. San James' mount travelled well into contention two furlongs out and hit the lead with over a furlong to run. The Desert Style gelding stuck on well in the closing stages to post a three-parts-of-a-length win over Denis Of Kerry. Well backed 7/4 favourite Saint By Day (from 5/2) could only finish third. The winner had only hinted at ability before today and was well beaten on his return to the Flat at Killarney after some moderate hurdle runs. "I've only had him three or four weeks," said Sweeney afterwards. "He loved that surface and the bit of a change seems to have done him good."
