Ransom collects again at Dundalk Ransom recorded back-to-back victories at Dundalk when asserting inside the final furlong to claim the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap. The Denis Hogan trained gelding had won over course and distance in late October and was sent off 10/3 favourite to repeat the dose. Daniel King produced his mount to challenge at the furlong pole and he soon struck the lead. The six-year-old kept on well to hold the late charge of Final Voyage by a length-and-a-quarter. King said: "He's a nice horse. He travelled everywhere today and, when I asked him, he picked up nicely so it is nice to get his head in front again. "He's a fairly straightforward horse, it worked with the cheekpieces last time and worked without them today. "In fairness to Denis and all the team at home, they had him in top shape. "It is nice for the owner, Liam Mulryan, he is a new owner of him." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
