ROCK tops classification list

The record-breaking Rock Of Gibraltar was rated the worst champion since the International Classifications began when given a figure of 128 by the official handicappers on Wednesday.

The `Rock` emerged ahead of Marienbard (127), Golan, Grandera, High Chaparral and Sulamani (all 126), while Middle Park Stakes winner Oasis Dream is rated the leading juvenile on 123.

The lowly ratings of the crop of 2002 is reinforced by the fact that 21 horses have been rated higher than 128 in the previous five years including Peintre Celebre (137) and Montjeu (135).
