Christy Roche today ended weeks of speculation by confirming that Youlneverwalkalone will run in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle next Tuesday at Cheltenham.
Roche's star novice will tackle the two mile event on the opening day after discussions with owner J P McManus.
'I was talking to JP this morning and we decided to go for the Supreme Novices' rather than the SunAlliance.' Roche revealed.
The decision means the highly anticipated clash with Mark Pitman's SunAlliance favourite Monsignor will not now happen.
But the son of Montelimar could now clash with Dermot Weld's Stage Affair in the opening race of the festival.
The high class flat recruit, who finished second to Istabraq in the AIG Europe Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown in January, also holds an entry in the Champion Hurdle and no decision will be made until the last minute on which race he goes for.
