RISE BIDS TO HIT HEIGHTS AGAIN

High-Rise will bid to end his losing run when he reappears in the Listed Dubai City Of Gold over a mile and a half at Nad Al Sheba tomorrow.

Godolphin's five-year-old is without a win since he landed the Vodafone Derby for Luca Cumani in June, 1998.

If successful he will be only the second Derby victor to win a race at the age of five since 1900, after 1990 scorer Quest for Fame.

He also bids to end the current losing run of horses successful in the Epsom Classic - no Derby winner has won another race since Lammtarra's successful campaign in 1995.

High-Rise, third in the Japan Cup on his final outing last year, will be ridden by Frankie Dettori.

His stable provides five of tomorrow's seven-runner field in Sabadilla, Pozarica, All The Way and Breathtaking View.

Redbridge and Rajjaaf complete the line-up in a contest seen as a prep race for the Group Three Dubai Sheema Classic on March 25th.
