RIGHT IRISH BID

Right Wing steps up to Group-race company in the Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh tomorrow.

The John Dunlop-trained six-year-old must give 13lb to his four rivals in the 10-furlong Group Three contest.

Right Wing, winner of the Worthington Lincoln in 1999, finished third in that race on his seasonal debut this year.

He followed up with victory in the Listed Magnolia Stakes at Kempton in April and was touched off by Island House in a similar event at Goodwood last time.

His main rival would appear to be the Dermot Weld-trained Media Puzzle, who was pulled out of the Vodafone Derby on Thursday.

Pat Smullen's mount was an impressive winner of a Curragh maiden in April and followed up at Cork last month.

Aidan O'Brien has two runners, Glyndebourne, three-quarters of a length second to Media Puzzle at Cork, and Mythological, the winner of his sole start as a juvenile.

The John Oxx-trained Takali makes up the field.
