English raider Tumbleweed Ridge will face eight opponents at Leopardstown tomorrow evening when he bids to complete a hat-trick of wins in the Ballycorus Stakes.
Brian Meehan's tough campaigner finished two lengths third behind Blu Air Force at Longchamp last time after stumbling in the straight.
"The old boy is in top form," the trainer said. "I think he was possibly unlucky last time. He ran a bit free - making it early - so we've left the blinkers off tomorrow just to give him a breather.
"Tactics aren't a problem with him - you can ride him how you like."
With the likes of Aidan O'Brien's Bashkir and the Dermot Weld-trained Major Force among his rivals Tumbleweed Ridge will not have matters all his own way.
However, Meehan is expecting a third victory in the seven-furlong Group Three for Tumbleweed Ridge.
He said: "I'd be very confident and he's on for the hat-trick.
"He's a good traveller. We had a little trouble with the ferries but he'll get on today."
Regular jockey Michael Tebbutt takes the ride.
Fellow English trainer Terry Mills saddles Mitcham in the race but the four-year-old has failed to regain the level form which saw him land the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot last year.
Earlier on the card O'Brien gives the highly-regarded Beckett his debut in the European Breeders Fund Maiden.
The 1.7million-guinea Newmarket Houghton Sale purchase missed an intended engagement at Leopardstown eight days ago after suffering a slight stone bruise.
