Mary Reveley's relentless surge to yet another century of winners over jumps continued when she took her score to 85 through The Granby and Harfdecent at Doncaster today.
The Granby was a heavily-backed odds-on chance in the EBF 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle and never gave his supporters an anxious moment, passing the post with much more in hand than the official nine-length margin.
Reveley's travelling head lad Bob Hodge said: "He seemed to love it bowling along in front and Tony (Ross) said he really stood off the last three hurdles."
Harfdecent had to work a good deal harder for his success in the hands of Alan Dempsey in the Harworth Handicap Chase, rallying well to get the better of Glamanglitz by one and a quarter lengths.
Winning owner Tony Knowles said: "He fractured a knee two years ago and had to have seven weeks box rest but he has come back well. I think three miles was too far for him in the soft at Sedgefield last time."
Brendan Powell was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary for x-rays on his ribs after being injured in a fall from Monnaie Forte in the race.
Reveley goes into battle again at the Yorkshire course tomorrow mounting a two-horse raid on the £40,000 Pertemps Great Yorkshire Chase.
Hodge added: "If conditions stay as they are Brother of Iris will have a good shout, he should come on for the run but you have got to take your chance.
"Fullopep seems well in himself as well, he has got a low weight and if he jumps around here you never know."
Arctic Fancy does not look the easiest of rides but has plenty of ability and may be bound for Cheltenham after beating Vent D'Aout a length in the Doncaster Racecourse Sponsorship Club Novices' Chase.
However, winning rider Warren Marston was suspended for two days (February 7th and 8th) for careless riding after Arctic Fancy was found to have interfered with the runner-up close home, though not improving his placing as a result.
Trainer Julian Smyth-Osbourne said: "When he gets to the front he does not pay any attention. I think he will be better in a better race when they go a stronger gallop and I would like to think he is good enough to go for the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival.
"I may run him somewhere to see if he gets two and a half miles and if that was the case we could put him in the Cathcart, but the handicap, the Grand Annual, is also an option."
Hati Roy made it three wins out of four starts this season under Jim Culloty in the Cusworth Novices' Hurdle and trainer Henrietta Knight said: "She is a lovely mare but is so laid back and so slow at home!
"She might go for the mares' final at Newbury but will have a lot of weight so we might qualify her for the three-miles (Ladbroke Casinos Hurdle Final) at Cheltenham. The three-mile novices' at Liverpool might suit her too - we will keep her over that trip."
Mattie Batchelor made his first ride for Mick Easterby a winner when Super Nomad raced to a game success in the Selby Conditional Jockeys Novices' Handicap Hurdle.
Easterby's assistant Dilys Sigsworth explained: "Jim Crowley was initially booked but then got injured so Alan Dempsey was going to ride but he was claimed by Mary Reveley so we got Mattie."
