RETIRED HORSES ON PARADE

A parade of retired racehorses will take place at Lingfield Park on March 18th in aid of Thoroughbred Rehabilitation and the Moorcroft Rescue Centre in particular.

Grand National winner Rough Quest, Morley Street, Forest Sun, Katabatic, Moorcroft Boy, Deep Sensation and Mandys Mantino are among the horses on show.

Andrew Parker-Bowles, a director of Lingfield's owners Arena Leisure and chairman of the British Horseracing Board Rehabilitation programme for retired racehorses, said: "It is a very apt occasion to come and meet these horses, especially now the BHB are supporting this scheme to ensure these heroes have a life after racing."

The parade is part of the Bet Direct Winter Derby meeting at the Surrey track.
