Rain continues to play havoc with the racing schedule with only five races possible today. However, both Doncaster and Uttoxeter are hopeful of being able to race tomorrow although both will inspect if there is overnight rain.
Torrential rain put paid to Haydock with two races remaining during the afternoon following torrential rain.
And Towcester was called off before racing due to heavy rain having initially passed an inspection in the morning.
The going has eased to heavy for the first day of Doncaster`s meeting tomorrow, the last of the Flat turf season, but the course remains raceable.
However, there will be a precautionary inspection at 7.30am if the forecast rain arrives.
Clerk of the course John Sanderson said: 'It`s dry here at the moment but we`ve had 11mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
'There is no water standing and we could race.
'There is rain forecast so as we would have to look anyway we might as well make it a formal one.'
Officials at Uttoxeter are also keeping their fingers crossed that the rain holds off between today and tomorrow.
Clerk of the course David McAllister said: 'We haven`t had as much rain as was forecast - they changed it up to 19mm and we`ve had nine and a half.
'It`s still raceable.
'They don`t think we`ll get more than another four millimetres before racing in which case we should be all right.
'However, we will have an inspection at 7.30 if we get overnight rain.
'We`re reasonably optimistic, the ground is heavy but it`s nice enough ground.'
Tomorrow`s meeting at the Curragh has also been abandoned following an inspection this afternoon as the course is unraceable.
Saturday`s jumps meeting at Sandown has already been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Heavy rain earlier this week left the entrance to the final turn under water and further rain this morning put paid to any hopes that the course might recover.
Plans to switch the meeting to Kempton also fell foul of the weather with the track at the Sunbury course also unraceable.
Clerk of the course Andrew Cooper said: 'We have had no option but to abandon the meeting after we had a further 18mm of rain this morning.
'We found Kempton Park wouldn`t have raced today having raced yesterday.
'They`ve had about the same amount of rain as Sandown and there is standing water in some of the damage from yesterday and that was the key factor.
'I don`t think we could provide a sufficient guarantee that we could race at Kempton on Saturday to put everybody through the hoop.
'Everyone was very cooperative and ground conditions permitting I think the switch could have happened.'
Hopes are high that Wincanton`s meeting on Saturday, featuring the Badger Brewery Handicap Chase, will go ahead as planned.
Clerk of the course Ian Renton said: 'We had half an inch of rain overnight, it is raining now and we have more rain forecast tonight.
'It is then forecast to be generally drier after that and if the forecast is right we should have no problems at all.
'We are perfectly raceable at the minute.'
Prospects are also fairly bright for Chepstow`s card the same day.
A course spokeswoman said: 'The going is heavy, soft in places.
'The course has taken the rain very well and we are expecting to go ahead on Saturday.'
