Queally goes in search of glory at Kempton

The John Queally trained Elyaadi with Timmy Murphy aboard goes in search of Listed glory at Kempton this afternoon in the Coolmore NH Sires 'Ask & Gateway' Mares Hurdle at Kempton which is due off at 1.30.

The versatile daughter of Singspiel was last seen finishing third at Punchestown in a Listed hurdle behind Jacksonslady.

Better known for her exploits on the level (finished second at Royal Ascot in 2010 and again this year) the 7yo should have every chance in what looks an open contest with just five set to go to post for the 3m event.

It will be the first time for Elyaadi to run over the distance but having finished second in the 2m 5f Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in June she should stay the trip.

The consistent Violin Davis trained by Paul Nicholls with Ruby Walsh aboard is likely to go to post favourite having won last time out at Wincanton while the Nicky Henderson trained Whoops A Daisy will also be well fancied to score with Barry Geraghty in the saddle.

Queally also has another runner on the card in the shape of Namarama in the 2:35 the Betfred Handicap Hurdle.

The son of Bob Back will be having his third run in Handicap Hurdle company and having finished third last time out in a very competitive contest at Navan behind Magdoodle he looks to have every chance here carrying bottom weight of 10-11.
