QUINN HIT BY SIX-DAY BAN

Jimmy Quinn was handed a six-day ban by the Southwell stewards today.

The jockey was found guilty of irresponsible riding of a major nature on Finn McCool in the Southwell Annual Members Claiming Stakes.

Finn McCool finished second to Kumakawa but was disqualified and placed last.

Quinn`s suspension takes effect on November 20, 21, 22, 24, 25 and 27.

The season`s leading apprentice Lee Newton was also in trouble with the local officials after being found guilty of excessive use of the whip on My Tess, the short-head winner of the Ladbroke Handicap.

Newton is banned for three days, November 20, 21 and 22.
