Richard Johnson has been the all-clear to ride at Hereford this afternoon after injuring his right collarbone in a fall at Wincanton.
The much-in-demand 22-year-old, who has picked up the plum ride on Looks Like Trouble in next Thursday's Cheltenham Tote Gold Cup at Cheltenham, gave up his three remaining rides as a precaution after taking a tumble from Sir Oliver in the Seavington Maiden Hurdle on Thursday.
"It was slightly sore so with Cheltenham round the corner I just wanted to give it a chance," he said today.
Johnson, who has four mounts at Hereford, has ridden 121 winners this season - just 12 short of his personal best he set in the last campaign - and is second in the jump jockeys' table behind champion Tony McCoy.
He played down a report that he is likely to split from Jackdaws Castle at the end of the season when Richard Phillips takes over from Alan King, who is moving to Barbary Castle.
"I will see how things pan out towards the end of the season," the jockey said.
"I shall continue to ride for Alan King and Henry Daly as I have this season and for Philip Hobbs and I hope to ride some for Mr Phillips as well.
"We shall just have to wait and see which horses go where."
