Godolphin's Iscan and French challenger Jim And Tonic pleased connections as they warmed up for the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup today.
The pair both did steady canters at Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong, venue for Sunday's Group Two mile-and-a-quarter contest.
"Iscan will have a little blow between now and Sunday but basically he's fit," said Saeed bin Suroor's travelling head lad Steve Avis.
"The form would suggest that his best trip is a mile and a half but he has shown speed in his training at home on sand in Dubai so let's hope he can reproduce that here on the turf. A strong pace would suit him."
Godolphin's Red Bishop and Overbury are recent winners of the QE II Cup, in which Jim and Tonic is bidding to repeat his victory of 12 months ago for Francois Doumen.
After the defending champion's canter, assistant trainer Xavier Doumen said: "Jim and Tonic seems happy to be back in Hong Kong again."
Also in action on the track were US challenger Thesaurus, New Zealand's The Message and Iron Horse from Australia.
