Punchestown passes inspection

Today's meeting at Punchestown will go ahead after the Co. Kildare track passed an early morning inspection.

Officials yesterday decided to have a precautionary look at 8am due to the threat of overnight frost but that inspection was brought forward this morning as temperatures remained a bit higher than initially feared.

The first on a seven race card, featuring the Grade 3 Visit Punchestown.com Juvenile Hurdle, gets underway at 12.45pm.

The going remains soft to heavy (heavy in places) on the hurdle course, and heavy on the chase course.
