In-form trainer Ger Lyons saddled Printmaker to win the one mile one-and-a-half furlong feature handicap at Gowran Park under a strong drive from South African jockey Keagan Latham.
The 7/1 shot, owned by Sheikh Mohammed, took the 13,000 euro prize money by a head from Elusive Award at 12/1.
Lyons praised his jockey and explained a change in tactics today. He said: “He got a lovely ride, a perfect ride.
“Last day he ran at the Curragh he ran up in the front in a strong headwind so I said to Keagan to chase one down today if possible.
“When your luck is in your luck is in. I would have pulled him out on firm ground but the rain came just in time.
“He chased down the leader well and won well.
“He’s worth going for a big pot now, maybe the Tote Mile in Galway.
"It's great to get a winner for Sheikh Mohammed."
The well-backed Obligada (10/1 to 13/2 off course and 7/1 to 9/2 on course) faded to finish fourth having been up in the van throughout. Stylish One who was punted from 6/1 to 7/2 favouritism finished sixth.
