Preswell tops at Tramore again For the third race in a row, an event that looked a possibility for providing the bookmaking fraternity with a 'result,' went fairly much to plan as 5/1 second favourite Preswell Lad brought up a double for rider Mickey Butler in the Live The Dream With Tote Handicap Chase at Tramore. Butler, earlier a winner on Eoin Doyle's Roman Numeral, made all on his father Michael's Preswell Lad in the two and three quarter miler. Market-leader Lord Alfie, bidding to follow up Friday night's Wexford win, always had Preswell Lad in his sights. However he was getting the worst of the battle when Preswell Lad threw a great leap at the last to settle the issue. Three lengths separated them at the line. The successful pilot disclosed: "I had a double here before, going back a good few years now. "This horse loves it around here and that's his third win at this place. "He wouldn't want the ground any better than that and he'll probably come back here or go to Downpatrick. They are his two tracks." (DM & EM)
